Sharplin Falls Picnic Spot – Staveley
Sharplin Falls is a popular local picnic spot and the carpark is also one of the starting points for the Mt Somers Tracks which provides a number of day walks and multi day tramps. While the 2-day Mount Somers Track is for the serious hiker, the Mount Somers Conservation Area also offers a variety of walks for everyone.
Sharplin Falls Walking Track – Staveley
From Staveley Heights, it’s only a short scenic walk into Sharplin Falls, an ideal swimming hole or somewhere to have lunch or afteroon tea. The bridge is easily accessed from the carpark and a well formed track follows the stream on the other side before climbing up through the native beech forest. The Sharplin Falls walking track, named after an early Staveley sawyer, is approximately 1.2 km each way and take around 45 minutes.
